Dr. Sooah Goo was raised in the suburbs of La Crescenta, California and attended the University of California, Irvine for a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Following graduation, she volunteered at several local animal shelters and zoos, while working as a veterinary assistant for two years. In 2011, she moved to Philadelphia to attend the Drexel University Master of Laboratory Animal Program to pursue her interest in research and lab animal welfare. From there, she attended Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California and graduated in 2015. She then completed her one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital where she developed an interest for emergency medicine. Dr. Goo recently moved to Northern California with her husband Brian. In her free time, she enjoys painting (mainly with watercolors), cooking, gardening, paddle boarding, playing with her dogs (Mr. Darcy, Ellie, and Penny) and wine tasting.
