Dr. Kristen Pitsinger graduated from veterinary school in 2014 from the University of California, Davis and subsequently worked for 3 years in general practice at VCA Lawrence Animal Hospital in Santa Clara, California prior to joining UNI Pet Clinic as an associate veterinarian. Prior to veterinary school, she graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science and Management and minor in Managerial Economics.
She originally entered the veterinary medicine field as a laboratory animal technician at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA working at an exclusive all mouse facility with ambitions to eventually specialize as a laboratory animal veterinarian. Upon graduation, she discovered her true passion in soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine through her mentorship in general practice.
Dr. Pitsinger originated from the sunny skies and warm beaches of San Diego. She enjoys activities which include running 10K and half marathons, accumulating Disney collectibles, traveling, and watching horror movies. She shares her household with her significant other, Thomas, and her beloved furry felines: Maddy, a 2 year old tabby whose lives for eating and sleeping and her mischievous 3 year old black domestic short haired cat Scarlett who loves watching birds and playing with her feather toys.
Dr. Pitsinger is excited to join the UNI Pet Clinic team and looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!
